Secure Nest is Now Available in Dutch

You can switch between the Dutch and English translations in a couple of ways

In our inaugural post for the Secure Nest Journal (Welcome to Secure Nest) we made comment that we would release a version of the site in Dutch. We are excited to let you know that this is now available, making us officially a multilingual web application, increasing accessibility of the site for international users.

You can switch between the Dutch and English translations in a couple of ways.

Public areas of the site can be changed by any visitor using the language toggle on the top right of the page:

Secure Nest Dutch English Language Toggle

If you are registering a new account (therapist signup, client signup) you are provided the option to choose a language when completing the form:

Secure Nest Dutch English Language Registration

And if you already have a Secure Nest account, you can switch between languages by going into ‘My Profile’, then ‘Edit Profile’, toggling the language and then clicking ‘Update’. Then once you logout and login again the language will have updated.

While a majority of the website/web application is available in Dutch, there are some features which are not. For example email notifications, the Resources directory and Journal, will remain in English at this time. It would be best for a therapist to be familiar with English in order to best guide their clients when using the site (the user guides are in English).

We would like to extend our many thanks to Heleen Lie-Venema and Wendelien Merens, Schema Therapists (in training) at G-kracht Psychomedisch Centrum (Delft, Netherlands), for their assistance with the Dutch translation.

While we won’t be providing every Journal post in Dutch, here is an explanation we provided in our inaugural post on why we’ve used hummingbirds when theming Secure Nest:

Waarom kolibries?
